About Us

Our mission is to provide the tools, encouragement,

and opportunities

to develop a life-long excitement and love of reading.

Reading in Indoor Tent

Our Story

Experience and research informs us that a child’s success in education, career, and life is based largely on their ability to read on grade level by the end of third grade.  Children primarily learn to read by the end of third grade, after which they read to learn.

Begun primarily by educators, Foundational Literacy was formed to provide the tools and support to children in their formative years and beyond, to develop the reading skills they need to succeed in all aspects of life.
