Dolly Parton believes that if you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything. Through her Imagination Library program, she wants to ensure all children have books at home, regardless of the environment in which they live.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children across the world. Foundational Literacy partners with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to provide one free, high-quality book each month to children in White County from birth to age five. These books are personalized with the child's name and mailed directly to the child's home. This creates a gifting experience that makes books exciting and encourages families to spend time enjoying books together.

Foundational Literacy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in White County, Georgia and an official affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
​
With support from local funders and partners like you, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is available to all children in White county, at no cost to the family, regardless of income. This model helped the Imagination Library receive a coveted Best Practice Award from the U.S. Library of Congress for addressing social barriers in literacy.
​
Your financial support will help gift a book to every child in White County. Your tax-deductible contribution will help to pay for all children in White County between the age of birth to five to receive a book at their home. As a sponsor, you will receive the benefits listed below. Most importantly, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have given the gift to of reading to children throughout White County.
